Ahem, Durango ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Durango ):

I didn’t include the Durango because FoMoCo didn’t actually build it. National Coach Works took Fairmonts and rebodied them. While I do like the Durango, it’s not actually a factory vehicle, in my eyes.

The Fox body, the only platform Ford had to actively protect from their own product line.
Ford: “Lutz wants to bring that Sierra thing over from Europe to compete with BMW. We can’t let him do that, it would steal sales from the Mustang! Make up some new brand and make Mercury dealers sell it so it isn’t in the same showrooms as the Mustang.”

Mmmm Fairmont....
I almost bought when way back before I knew anything about cars, just knew it looked good but I would have been in way over my head.

M ine is 2 cars long.
1. 1991 Lincoln LSC. My first memory is of
me in the back seat with my father flooring it on an exit ramp. This thing lit the spark that kept me obsessed with cars for the rest of my life
2. 1989 Mustang, specifically mine. 23 years later I was going back to my roots. Now st ripped out with a R ecaro and Corbeau seats it has a complete flowmaster exhaust with an h- pipe, mild cam, bigger injectors and the usual explorer intake swap. Now about to be cleaned up to install a cage and get a fresh coat of paint.
No matter which one strikes your fancy I highly reccomend picking one up as it is pretty hard to beat the smiles per dollar ratio they lay down.

What does matter is what unites us. The
fact the ‘80-82 T-bird was hot garbage.

Now reverse the order to find which ones make the best sleepers!

I love all Fox bodies.
... Except you, squarebird.
